During The Beijing Olympics, The Human Rights Torch Relay has spread more rapidly in China

During the Olympics, the “Human Rights Torch Relay” launched by “The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) and multiple other groups has been rapidly spreading in Mainland China, supported especially by the commoners and victims persecuted by the Communist regime for the Olympic Games.

Mr. Liu from Hubei stated in an interview with an SOH reporter: [recording] “I strongly support The Human Rights Torch Relay of the Mainland China’s leg of journey. Chinese seemingly live like human beings, but in fact the Chinese people live without any dignity with the basic human rights trampled. I think that the theme of the Human Rights Torch Relay “the Same World, the Same Human Rights” is to the point and very realistic. I support The Human Rights Torch Relay spreading to every corner of China.”

Another Shanghai petitioner has appealed to the authorities for years, and has been detained six times by the Public Security Bureau during the process of her appeals for justice since her house was dismantled by the government; just before the Olympics, the authorities again detained her. When she came to know the Human Rights Torch Relay was spreading in China she said: [recording] “We certainly support The Human Rights Torch to reach Shanghai, people like us, innocent people, detained with our rights violated, want human rights and freedom.”
The Shanghai petitioner also called on the international community for more concerns.

Mr. Song of Jingzhou, Hubei Province said that early this year he had learnt about the spread of The Human Rights Torch Relay in China. In a Recording he said “We knew the torch relay in the first half of the year. Since it was launched and disseminated globally, ordinary people in many places of China have spontaneously joined in the spreading.”

Mr. Song also very much agreed with the concept of “the same world, the same human rights”. He said: [recording], “the Same World, the Same Human Rights”,in fact embodies the whole concept of a civilized society, this ideal is an inevitable sign of human civilization that mankind pursues. The dictatorship under the rule of the Communist Party in fact goes against the entire human civilization.”

Mr. Song believes that the spread of “The Human Rights Torch Relay” carries important meaning to people in Mainland China. [Recording]: “This campaign is very important to those who have been persecuted in the preparation of the Olympics, including democratic activists, Falun Gong practitioners, rights advocates and many others.”

Initiated by CIPFG, the global activities of “The Human Rights Torch Relay” in over tens of countries around the world, touring around 100 cities, have received great response since March this year when it started to begin its leg of journey in China. Due to the aggravated persecution on human rights by the Communists regime, “the Human Rights Torch Relay” has been spreading more rapidly and extensively in China.
