Administration level of CCP accountable for obstacles in cooperation between China Eastern Airlines and Singapore Airlines
China Eastern Airlines and Singapore Airlines are waiting for The Communist regime at the administration level to declare their stance in “cooperation between China Eastern Airlines and Singapore Airlines. According to a report by the 18th Version of “Finance”, published on September 1, 2008, this has become an important prerequisite for Singapore Airlines to re-purchase China Eastern Airlines and for cooperation between the two airlines.
On the evening of the 10th August, China Eastern Airlines announced the termination of the purchase agreement with Singapore Airline and its parent company. At the time of termination, both China Eastern Airlines and Singapore Airlines agreed to resume the negotiation after the Beijing Olympics, but have not decided so far when to resume the dialogue.
Regarding the issue, Economist, Dr. Fan Jiazhong said that China is not only slow in political reform but also sluggish in economic reform.
[Recording]: “We see Singapore Airlines would like to join, but they must deal with the problems in finance and economy as well as unison by both parties in politics, which has added many obstacles to foreign capital inflows into China while foreign investors have to participate in political and financial corruptions of the Communist regime to be able to enjoy any opportunity. The Chinese communists manipulate this process, to use as bargaining chips with its international businesses and political figures.”
The cooperation between China Eastern Airlines and Singapore Airlines should be a good thing, for it can reform and improve the efficiency of the aviation industry of the state-owned companies, however, negotiations have been delayed time and again, which is worth thinking about.
