Veteran War General voices governmental problems
Decades on, a veteran War General who had fought against the Japanese army in Mainland China Jia Weilu still cares deeply for the environment in which mainland Chinese people currently live. During an Armed Forces Memorial dinner, veteran soldiers reminisced about the 8 long years of the Anti Japanese War, and former Taiwanese Defence Minister Jian Zhongling introduced to the group, veteran General Jia Weilu who was personally involved in the Anti-Japanese War as well as the following Chinese Civil War.
General Jia fought for the future of the Chinese ethnicity and the ideals of democratic freedom and eventually safeguarded China from the hands of the Japanese troop. On the poor state of human rights in mainland China, General Jia still had strong feelings. He said when he visited China, many officials sought to speak to him. He voiced to them that the most important issue now is political openness, and that economic development alone will not fulfill the wishes of the entire population. He says political openness is the most important national issue for the CCP, and that without it problems will arise for the country’s future
Since the spread of the Nine Commentaries of the Chinese Communist Party, many truths and historical taboos about the Chinese communist regime have been revealed. These include the war against Japan which the veteran General had personally experienced. On the publications of the Nine Commentaries and the subsequent wave of withdrawals from the CCP, General Jia says this is the direction of the Chinese people on the path to democracy.
According to statistics published by the Quit CCP website, over 42 million people have announced that they have severed all ties from the Chinese Communist Party and related groups.
