Once again calling on the Eutelsat decision-making not to stifle freedom of the press with the Chinese Communists, and called for an immediate resumption of signal for New Tang Dynasty and Sound of Hope’s broadcast to Mainland China.
A spokeswoman for Sound of Hope Radio Network (SOH) France Division, Ms Marie Chen read out a statement at the press conference saying that China’s suppression of press freedom not only manifested with European satellite company but also with the Indonesian government that is under the pressure by the Communist regime to cancel the operation of SOH Indonesia that had been operating for the past three years.
The statement reads: The Chinese voice of freedom – Sound of Hope and the New Tang Dynasty TV’s broadcasting signal to Mainland China had been cut off, adding more difficulties in the world to understand Chinese society, particularly in democracy and the truth of civil rights.
The statement also encouraged the Indonesian government to eventually be able to stand up to the Chinese authority to say “no.” for the Indonesian public, media freedom and dignity.
Sound of Hope Radio Network called upon international communities, organizations and government departments to jointly oppose the dictatorship of Chinese Communists on the freedom of the press and the information blockade.
