It’s been recently revealed that over 200 young children at Tiyi Preschool in Cixi City of Zhejiang Province have been diagnosed with intestinal disorders involving lymph nodes, this has caused grave concern among parents.

The test was based on samples provided by parents of affected children and it found that the oil used at the preschool was palm oil which is in-edible and used for production of soaps. However, at the same day of the test result announcement, the government still claimed that the oil used was up to standard. Frustrated parents petitioned the Health Ministry and Complaints Bureau without any outcome. Due to the recent Sanlu toxic infant formula scandals, which lead to many sick infants and young children, a mass infection of lymph nodes has alerted parents.

According to some parents, the kitchen sanitation at the preschool had been filthy, chaotic and of a subpar standard. Apparently, the cooking oil used was murky and resembled mud. Vegetables were full of dirt. The canteen refrigerator and disinfected cabinets have cockroaches and many other kinds of insects, while the was rice black and dates were largely eaten by moths
