The Communist regime covers up chemical project
Recently, the global community has been concerned over the Jinling Petrochemical Project PX (paraxylene), which is due to start operations soon in Nanjing. Due to an information blockade by Communist authorities, the Mainland media and public have expressed that the majority of Nanjing residents have been kept in the dark about this PX Project.
A year ago, the project met with strong public opposition causing administrators to have it relocated. However, Jinling Petrochemical, operating under Sinopec Nanjing as a subsidiary, recently completed a trial operation of the PX project, and will soon be officially begin.
The project is located less than 3 kilometers from Xianlin University in Nanjing, a densely populated city. The public is concerned of any possible event that may pose threats to the safety of hundreds of thousands of people in the vicinity. Under international standards, such a project should be located at least one hundred kilometers from residential areas.
For now, authorities have placed restrictions on any news. The company has issued an internal order blocking all news related to the project. The area around the plant has experienced an upgrade of security. All strangers are barred from entering.
The total capital invested in the project has reached 2.8 billion RMB Yuan.
