Fire fighting heroes abandoned by government.
A farmer from Hunan province who has recently announced his withdrawal from the Chinese Communist Regime has told the Global Quit CCP Service Centre that he has been angered by local government officials’ inactions towards heroic volunteer fire fighters who were severely burned during fire fighting efforts.
Mr Wu from Fuchen County in Hunan’s Wuchen city, has exposed that seven volunteer fire fighters were severely injured during the fire season in March this year. These volunteers were hailed as heroes by locals for their unflinching dedication to saving lives. Their injuries are severe and expensive medical treatment is needed for their well being.
Mr Wu says that in a blatant and ugly cover up, the county government will not reimburse these massive expenses, and will even ask those who request reimbursement to say that their burns are not due to fire fighting incidences. Officials are being accused of shirking public responsibility. Mr Wu has also accused officials of lying to superiors and subordinates to hide any fault or blame to themselves.
He says currently not one government department has actively responded to the issue, and severely burnt heroes of the public have had no choice but to go home with their wounds not properly treated.
