Communist authories seal off another website

“China Agricultural Market Weekly” website hosted by the Mainland renowned media professional, former editor-in-chief, Mr. Huang Liang-Tian, was forcibly shut down. During an over-a-year period, the website has been sealed off multiple times by the Mainland news control departments or by the Public Security Bureau. Many scholars in Mainland China are concerned over the issue.
At 8:00am on 17th November, “China Agricultural Market Weekly” Website was forcefully shut down. Mr. Huang Tian-Liang expressed at an interview that the “China Agricultural Market Weekly” he founded is to provide readers in China with some real messages that other media cannot.

Beijing author, Yu Jie said that since the number of China’s Internet users is constantly increasing,  the official means of control has been strengthened continuously through the technical level of the Golden Shield Project for deletion.

China’s news media and author Ling Cang-Zhou holds the view that since the Chinese Constitution bestows citizens the right of freedom of expression, it should be protected by related measures with the rule of law. However, he felt that the Communist regime will impose further restrictions on speech.

Huang Tian-Liang was a former editor-in-chief with China’s “People” Magazine. Since this year, he has reported on incidents like the Tibetan’s protests, the Olympic torch relay and the toxic Sanlu milk formula and so on. As a result, his website has been shut down several times by Communist officials’ press control departments and the public security unit.
