Local officials arranged a sham situation to deceive Premier Wen Jia-Bao in visit
Xinhua Website reported Monday, on the Chinese Lunar New Year Day, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao personally visited the earthquake-stricken area Mianzhu and other places in Sichuan. On the New Year’s Eve, an arrangement was made to dine with parents of over 20 dead student victims. According to local residents, the local authorities barred parents of student victims in the earthquake from meeting the premier and arranged public servants to fake the peasants. The folks the Premier had met were all sham.
A local villager said: “The People the Prime Minister had seen were all fake, just for showcase. Public servants faked being farmers to deceive the Prime Minister, and the local government faked this show show for the Prime Minister. In fact, Wen Jiao-Bao had not sat in an ordinary peoples’ home.” Many residents at Mianzhu in administration of Deyang City revealed that they only knew Wen Jia-Bao was coming but had no idea of his itinerary and the time of his visit.
Another local villager said that before Wen Jiabao arrived in Mianzhu, the vicinity had been heavily guarded with many villages blocked. Parents of student victims are not allowed to enter into the guarded area.
Mianzhu was the hardest hit in the Wenchuan earthquake. Firecrackers lit on New Year’s Eve could not bring joy to the villagers, but aroused the emotions and thoughts of their loved ones killed in the earthquake. In order to honor the dead children, more than 20 parents ate dinner together on New Year’s Eve in memory of their loved ones.
