Earthquake in Tibet kills more than 30 people
A 6.6 magnitude earthquake shook Dangxiong County in Lhasa City, Tibet on Monday killing more than 30 people and destroying nearly 100 houses at the epicenter in Geda Township.
Tibetan writer Weise detained in Lhasa
According to news on August 26, renowned female Tibetan writer Weise returned to Lhasa from Beijing. For shooting a Lhasa street image, she was accused by the local police authority and summoned to the police station for interrogations where she was confined for eight hours.
